Some of us do our best work in coffee shops. They can be a great place to get (and stay) caffeinated while focusing on a project or task.

What makes a coffee shop perfect for work is a matter of preference, though science tells us there’s a reason [coffee helps us focus](https://www.bwbacon.com/blog/coffee-help-us-focus-work/).

Here we’ve compiled our list of best coffee shops in Denver based on our own experiences and feedback from clients.

**Common Grounds - Sunnyside**

Though Common Grounds has two locations, we’re most familiar with the newest one in Sunnyside. With a great patio and plenty of electrical outlets, it’s well-designed for individuals that need to get work done.

It’s also close to Chaffee Park, which comes in handy when you need to get up and stretch your legs.

**St. Mark’s – City Park**

With a great open ambience and abundance of seating, St. Mark’s is a popular spot for individuals working away on their laptops.

One of its best features is a midnight closing, perfect for night owls that do their best work after the sun goes down. Grab a beer and settle in.

**Thump – Capitol Hill**

These guys take coffee seriously. Their espresso game is one of the best in Denver and it’s strong enough to keep you going all day long.

The cafe has a minimalistic, industrial aesthetic that inspires creativity and encourages focus.

Community tables provide most of the seating, where you’ll almost always find people with their heads in their laptops.

**Hutch & Spoon – Curtis Park/RiNo**

Located in an up-and-coming part of town, Hutch & Spoon serves up some killer eats alongside their espresso.

Breakfast is served all day so if you’re like most Denverites that can eat breakfast for every meal, this place makes for a great office away from work.

If you’re looking for a recommendation, check out the grilled cheese with peach chutney. Mmm.

**Wash Perk – Washington Park**

This super bike-friendly café serves up tasty snacks in a quirky atmosphere. It’s a bit small but its location near Washington Park has made it a popular stop.

Try their honey-cinnamon latte for a treat you won’t soon forget.

**Stella’s – South Pearl**

Comfortable and relaxing, Stella’s serves up some of the best coffee in Denver.

Individuals looking to get some work done can look through the winding back seating areas to snag a chair underneath inspiring artwork by
