Whether you like exploring outdoor winter wonderlands or finding the perfect gift, there is something for everyone. Did you know that while lights have been used to decorate Christmas trees since 1882, it wasn’t until President Grover Cleveland used lights on the White House Christmas Tree in 1895 that they became a national sensation? One of the most magical parts of this time of year is seeing the glorious displays of lights all over the city from traditions both new and old…
- Camp Christmas
- In 2019, Camp Christmas took over the Stanley Marketplace to bring a fully immersive, vintage-decorated labyrinth of rooms, holiday cocktail bars, and Christmas activities to Denverites. 2020 went virtual, but Camp Christmas is back in person this year in Lakewood! Described as the most “extra” Christmas event in the metro area and a “must-see for all ages,” come grab a hot drink (or a spiked one).
- Drink & Be Merry With Christmas Cocktail Bars
- Last year, Miracle Bars made their debut in the Denver area, and they were a sensation. Dressed to the nines with Christmas décor, these pop-up bars are hard to get into, but worth the wait for the unbeatable atmosphere and festive cocktails. This year, there’s one in Boulder’s new Avanti location, Denver Avanti, and Union Station.
- 9News Driving Tour

- The Mile-High Tree
- Created by a globally renowned Spanish lighting production company, this 110-foot installation is the largest of its kind in North America. Besides its impressive size, it naturally comes with a music and lights show. One of the best parts? It’s free, and open to the public through January 1, 2022, 5 PM- 10 PM, on the 16th Street Mall at Welton St.
