Just today we donated over $1,000 to various local and international charities. This brings our total donated through BW Giving to over $11,000!
We hope you all know about BW Giving by now, but in case you don't:
BW Giving is one of our core programs established in order to really represent and thank our candidates for the work they do with us. As part of their contract with us, our candidates are asked to choose a non-profit organization for us to donate to (in their name) out of our profits. We like to think it sets a whole new standard of working together: not just working with our resources in-person, but with the causes they support, the community, and the world.
Including the 11 charities we donated to today, we have contributed to over 40 non-profit organizations! We were happy to support these seven new charities:
Goodwill works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work.
Charity Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. 100% of all public donations directly fund water projects.
International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems - police, courts and laws - effectively protect the poor.
AIGA Colorado's mission is to advance design¬ing as a pro¬fes¬sional craft, strate¬gic tool and vital cul-tural force.
Maxfund is a no-kill animal adoption center that also shelters special needs animals that some other shelters are unable to look after.
Wild Animal Sanctuary's mission is to Prevent and alleviate cruelty to animals which are abandoned or that are subject to deprivation or neglect by providing care and boarding for such animals.
The Action Center’s mission is to provide an immediate response to basic human needs and promote pathways to self-sufficiency for Jefferson County residence.
These donations don't even include the in-kind donations we have made to some of the various organizations that the BWBacon team supports regularly like The Playing for Change Foundations, Flobots.org, and The O'Brien School for the Maasai. This is just the great work of our resources. Thanks for working with us!
