A Look into Our Favorite Denver Holiday Entertainment Events
Enjoy a taste of Germany right here on the West Coast. Celebrating its 19th year, the Christkindle Market starts the Friday before Thanksgiving and runs through December 23.
Enjoy an authentic German holiday experience with opportunities to meet St. Nikolaus, Krampus, and the Christkind herself. Our favorite part is the food and drink, which includes Bavarian-style pretzels, fresh smoked salmon, Goulash, authentic Glühwein, Bavarian-style Biers, and hot chocolate.
There are also a lot of chances to find the perfect gift in its charming wood huts, which feature crafted artisan gifts and holiday treats sold by local Coloradan and international merchants.
Blossoms of Light
From November 29 through January 3, you can enjoy the beautiful Blossoms of Light spectacle at the Denver Botanic Gardens.
A truly unique show, this annual holiday lights extravaganza transforms the garden’s York Street location into a sparkling winter wonderland. Every year, there are new, so it never gets old.
Explore a 360-degree immersive light experience along with beautiful trees and bulbs filled with thousands of lights.
Denver Zoo Lights
Another beautiful light exhibit, the Denver Zoo, transforms into a winter wonderland every year. This year, the theme is Illuminated with Life, featuring a spectrum of luminous new experiences to all kinds of unexpected holiday fun.
With more than two million lights sparkling over 80 acres, the Denver Zoo Lights is the perfect way to make memories with friends and family. You can even take a break from the outdoors and see some of your favorite animal exhibits.
A note from the Zoo, they do sell out every year, so they encourage you to get tickets online before you head to the event.
Parade of Lights
Happening the first weekend in December (6th and 7th), the Downtown Denver Parade of Lights is a truly unique experience. The two-mile parade route features more than 40 units, including extravagantly illuminated floats, giant helium-filled character balloons, great marching bands, traditional equestrian groups, and vibrant cultural showcases.
Plus, always a fan favorite, there will be a special appearance by Major Waddles the Penguin and Santa.
Snow Day VIII – A Winter Sleigh Ride
Turn your holiday festivities into a good cause. This upscale holiday party benefits the residents and mission of the Barth Hotel, a downtown community that serves the elderly in Denver. BWBacon has sponsored this fantastic event for the last three years, and we encourage you to check it out.
Happening Friday, December 6 at 7 pm, this year’s gala features a live musical performance by SPINPHONY, an open bar stocked with premium wine and spirits, and special holiday snacks and treats.
